Caching in the Door
What a vacation! Nothing beats Door County, Wisconsin for the perfect getaway. Of course, we did have to sneak in a bit of geocaching to make it all right. We started off going for a four-part multi-cache. The first part was good, a nice challenge, good coordinates. The second was some bushwhacking, progressively harder as the cache description promised. The last parts remained unfound. This was coming directly for us:
Needless to say, when in doubt, get the hell out. We did. Since the GPSr was leading us close to the bluff’s edge, I wasn’t too upset.
We managed to make it back to Chambers Island to relive our fun boating caching of last year. This year didn’t disappoint. We trekked to the far north end of the island to find the Chambers Island lighthouse for our next cache. A true find on this seemingly deserted island, a challenging boat ride away. All in all, a successful geo-vacation.
