Enjoy the Cabin Living

logcabin thumb Enjoy the Cabin Living Seeing as we live in one, I can only but appreciate a holiday which invokes my lifestyle. Welcome to Log Cabin Day!

The log cabin lifestyle invokes the outdoors and the kind of special relationship you foster when you are outside enjoying Nature. Geocaching is the perfect pursuit.

Living in a 900 square foot cabin reminds us of the outdoors. You’re that much closer to Nature when there is less separating you from the elements. That’s one of the things that geocaching taught me. Enjoy the time when you can be close to the Earth and learn her stories.

When you live in a cabin especially one by the lake, you have to endure bugs of every sort. There are the yearly visits of spiders, ants, and what-nots. There are the squirrels, the chickadees, and the woodpeckers who view your log cabin with envy. Every year I have to persuade the chickadees not to use my insulation for nesting material. I felt ridiculous explaining to the clerk at the hardware store about our persistent chickadees scolding me every time I scared them off. Ah, it’s cabin living.
