Geocaching and Coin Collecting
When you’re out geocaching and you find some pretty good swag, just about anything–within reason–seems like a good trade item. That’s part of the fun, isn’t it? The other day I shifted through my geo-coin collection. I’ve amassed a bit of a collections since I started geocaching.
You’ll find the occasional dollar. It’s always worth a trade seeing as that dollar could buy you a fortune with the right lottery numbers. I’ve found some different kind of coins as well. Foreign coins are a fun find. I have pocket change from Britain, Europe, Japan, and Sweden. I’m all set to book that world tour.
I’ve also had some interesting American finds. I picked up a silver dollar in one cache. I had to wonder why anyone would leave that. I’ve also found state quarters and have been able to tick off a few more states from my collection. There have been wheat pennies and lots of dimes. Dimes, by far, have been the most common find.
I hadn’t planned on making money while I went geocaching, but it sure is a nice perk. Have a lot more caching to do before I can quit my day job.

Actually the only coins I’m getting are pocket change. Nothing as great as an unactivated gold coin
