Off the Beaten Path Geocaching
This past weekend was perfect for geocaching. It was just a bit chilly, but those kind of spring days are meant to be cherished. It was ideal for the “Door County look.” That is a nickname we’ve given to how we dress when we travel to Door County, Wisconsin. Being on Lake Michigan, the weather can appear deceptively warm. We dress wearing long-sleeved shirts or polar fleece, with shorts. Hence, the Door County look.
We headed down the trail, surprised to see only a couple walkers. How could anyone not be out enjoying the day? We made for the first cache of the day. It was off the beaten path, my favorite kind of geocache. Of course, as luck would have it, it was up the very steep hill. No worries. We were out for a bit of exercise too.
Spring is my favorite time of the year. It’s such a great time for wildflowers. Spring wildflowers are the best, these beautiful, delicate flowers that stand out so well in the spring woodlands. We picked up two geocaches, but so many great moments enjoying spring.
