What’s There To Do Besides Geocaching?
What a cruddy weekend! Saturday had marginal weather with cold and occasional drizzle. Sunday, however, was downright miserable, with a driving, cold rain that kept on for hours, wind blowing like something out of an Edgar Allan Poe story. Needless to say, die-hard as I am, geocaching was out.
There were things to do around the house, but certainly on a day like Sunday was, it would be more fun to play. My husband is the video game fiend. He can spend hours playing, all in the hope of one day beating my nephews. World of Warcraft is the hot game these days. They’re all set up with their cheap WoW accounts, secure transaction and all, ready to do battle.
They really enjoy it too. They keep pace with the high action and fighting. When the scene gets intense, it doesn’t look like they even blink. The sounds of war fill the room, with no sign of letting up any time soon. That’s cool. We all need our breaks from the everyday. Who knows? One of them may turn out to be a great writer someday.
For me, I’ll look for something more mundane, less intense. As the battle rage on, I think I’ll plan our next geocaching outing–if the rain ever stops.
